    Esta es una plaza

    Esta es una plaza

In Madrid, to export our expertise in urban regeneration for the benefit of an evolving neighbourhood. A project that still exists many years later.

When we were in Madrid to hold an international workshop, we transformed and upgraded part of Lavapiés, a multiethnic neighborhood close to the Reina Sofia museum. Esta es una plaza (2008) still exists, and a blog chronicles the evolution of the project. It is an exemplary work on transition spaces, which can be temporarily put at the disposal of local communities.
