Il Salone è fuori - the opposite event

Once again esterni reacts to the Salone del Mobile with actions and initiatives that aim to draw public attention on issues related to life in the city and to public space in particular.

"Il Salone è Fuori", the opposite event, calls for the participation of people, aims to trigger reactions, to alter behaviours and stimulate interaction.
The whole city will be the setting of the event. The 2005 edition focuses on public spaces, streets, squares, on their usual inhabitants and unusual visitors; it features exhibitions consisting in quick raids and quiet tours in the city, inviting citizens and visitors to look in a different direction, opposite to the one suggested by furniture and design shows.

Design Week Opening Party
Music, toasts and cocktails mark the opening of a week featuring events and city raids. The party, initially set for Friday 8 April, will take place on Monday 11. Further information and invitation will be soon available on this web site.

Highly visible raidscoordinated by a special urban corps in the streets of Milan: people flowing in the most visited venues of the Salone del Mobile (13-18 April) to take part in targeted actions that wish to involve the visitors of the furniture show.
